Larp introduction training

Larp as an innovative tool in youth work is becoming more and more popular. How about going deeper and learning the whole process of introducing larp, getting to know new role-plays, getting into the secrets of good reflection and thus becoming prepared to actively use larp in your youth group or classroom?
GAME, EXPERIENCE, BUT ALSO LEARNING
A larp, or live action roleplaying game, is a form of action game in which participants physically portray their characters.
DECISIONS THAT SHAPE ATTITUDES
Through mutual conversations, interaction and acting improvisation, the players develop the story of which their characters are a part. Their own decisions are important in the story.
But most importantly, alongside acting and improvisation, larps open up important topics for education, such as bullying, cyberbullying, prejudice and stereotyping, drug addiction and more.
The aim of the training is to introduce the methodology of building attitudes through larps and to acquire the competence to perform larps, to reflect and to work with the experience that arises within the larp so that the participants are able to develop it further.

Participant profile
youth workers;
very good level of English;
age 18+.
Insight of schedule:
The training course runs from 1st to 5th of May. April 30th and May 5th are travelling days.
On May 5th course ends with lunch.
We will play larps and learn how to lead them during all the training days.

We can recommend you 3 options to arrive:
Take a flight to Krakow (Poland) and from there a bus to Jablonka. We will organise a group pick-up from Jablonka to our destination. This option is the most accessible and we recommend it as the simplest of the three options. Below you can find the link where to find buses from Krakow to Jablonka.

TRAINERS
RoMi Michalíková
RoMi comes from Czech Republic. Since 2007 she has been working with young people, including young people from socially disadvantaged backgrounds, and is a lecturer in non-formal education and experiential pedagogy programmes. She has been working with larps since 2016 as a larp designer. RoMi is the author of the larps Playing with Fire, Les Miserables, Panopticon and others. She also designs experiential programs that combine larp and experiential pedagogy.
JOŽO FABIŠ
A "young guy" from Levoča (Slovakia), where he "bullies" children at the local gymnasium. He likes board games and through them he got into larp. In 2017 he took a design course and has been making larps ever since (he'd be sad to be on a team by himself). Jožo has managed to create quite a few larps (he stopped counting after 5), he has performed many of them and even managed to perform one in Estonia (but he didn't speak Estonian but English ☹ ).
